I mean it
I'm about to order a Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC.
I've red a lot about ultra wide lens (not fisheyes) on the net and I decided to buy the above mentioned lens (fine analysis and reasonably low CA and PF).
Is there anyone to avert me from buying it?

EDIT: What Am I asking in the LBAs lair !
gkopeliadis,
Why would you even consider that lens when theres a chance you can talk Sigma into making this lens in a Pentax mount

Sigma 4.5mm F2.8 EX DC Circular Fisheye

That's the lens you'll really want, but it isn't made in a Pentax mount yet. So start talking to them

Yes, you have to be carefull with converging/diverging lines, but otherwise, this lens is wort every penny, cent or eurocent you pay for it....
Sorry for not helping, but it's a great lens...

If you need a more professional image then go for the pentax or sigma 12-24.
I don't know about the Pentax but I've tried the Sigma 12-24 and found CA quite annoying in contrast with the low CA I found on the 10-20.
I also found no real diference in detail between them (center or borders) when I compaired them at the same focal length (12-20).

It's so wide that you don't need to see through the viewfinder before shooting.
It just photographs everithing around!

What can I say? Congratulations! It is also on my list for a near future purchase.

It will be very helpful to hear your comments about it.

Greetings from Spain!

Hercules abandoned me after the purchase!
So you are welcomed the next time you are in the neighbourhood.

otherwise its pointless mentioning this fact since objects become so severly stretched in the corners that it hardly matters whether they are in focus or not
This is only true if what is in the corners is also close.

If I had to guess, I'd say by next summer.
I wouldn't hold my breath...I bought the 10-20 for this summer's shooting and if the 11-16 or 10-24 is better, I'll upgrade next year when the guinea pigs have tested them out

What kind of duty are you going to have to pay for that when it arrives here?
