But my m42-k mount adaptor just arrived.

Now to go and try a couple of old Takumars that used to belong to my Grandmother.

Yup thats it. not too exciting.

I like how with the Takumars you can use AV as well as manual.

They just might be more functional then my M lenses...

Actually they are. I prefer much more to use M42 lenses in Av mode than M lenses in M mode, regardless of the exposure errors, but hey that is why we have exposure compensation button on the K10D

Yeah EV can work well in most cases ... but most of the time now though I mainly use M though ... I hit the Green button and then take the shot ... and if it needs adjusting I do it on the fly for what I need. Occasionally with AV and even with exposure compensation .. it's still not quite right though I have found.

Using the Green button though ... I find the camera picks the right exposure for me literally every time though ... unlike when in AV where I have to keep adjusting.

It has been a great learning experience through getting my M42 gear ... I am really understanding things a lot more than what I was using my other new AF lenses.
