Is the Cosina the reason you are selling the Porst?

The Cosina does seem sharper but the Porst has a beautiful rendering. I'd find it hard to pick one above the other... but if pressured to do so, I think I'd pick the Cosina as well.

it is - I've had the Porst for a while and, while it is good, the Cosina bests it across the board....

I'm thinking of picking up a K50/1.2 also - I love the rendering I've seen in photos from it, and it seems to have more character than the A50/1.2....

plus, I've got other f1.2 lenses here to work with....

Be mindful that there were two versions of the K 50 1.2 - the one I have is from the "M" era but obviously couldn't be called an M lens as it is still quite large. You can tell by the reflections that the coatings are different, and the outside of the lens and especially the beauty ring are quite different as well. I suspect they are very similar in handling but as I said I "only" have the M-era version (which I call the V2).

Yup.

Honestly, I don't think it renders that differently from the A version. A might have a bit more contrast and slightly bolder colors. K and A lenses, I find, render a bit more naturally in color. But if the A version was clearly not staying in your collection, I highly doubt that the K will... but I guess the fun part is trying it

Lovely... just lovely. And a beautiful lens too. I have a 55mm F2.0 and totally love it.
