sorry for the loss of the Vivitar 19 - are you thinking of replacing it, Paul?

All seriousness aside, I'm sure JB Weld would do the trick, and might even be overkill. I would think any good epoxy (i.e. Gorilla Snot, etc) would suffice. Maybe pm @dcshooter for suggestions.

One of my primes is down for the count. My Vivitar (Cosina) 19/3.5 decided to lock up yesterday. Aperture ring (it has the A setting) is very rough to adjust, and the focus ring will not turn at all. Like something is stripped inside. Crap - after I finally figured that lens out, too....
Might want to send it to Forum member dcshooter to see if he can do anything cost effective with it. He has done wonders for me.

Yes, eventually. I really like the 20mm focal length on APS-c.

Funny, I just suggested contacting dcshooter to pepperberry about repairing his 35-70 zoom. I might do that too, but I didn't pay that much for the Vivitar and I'm not sure I want to invest anything more in that lens.

A few sunset shots with the K3 and DA21 Limited. I wish I had a lens like this for the K-1.

The river is at flood stage right now. Note the grille in the water.

Is your 19mm Vivitar stuck anywhere near infinity? Considering the huge DOF, it might still be useful in your walks

No, it's right in the middle. Maybe if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll try disassembling the lens and see if I can do even more damage .

Great rendering on the white iris. I like white flowers as a good test of what a lens is capable of, and this one has done great!

thank you - the 72B is an amazing lens; there are a dozen or so of the white iris' about to bloom in front of the pump house, which is where we have clematis planted, so you'll be seeing more of them....

Very nice. I did not realize how much further advanced southern Missouri is than northern Ohio. We have hardly anything yet except daffodils, with iris blades just sticking up above the ground a few inches. I will be posting flowers fast and furious by mid-May.

we are about to put our garden in for the year, so that's coming soon here - all of our orchard trees have bloomed and are now working on pips becoming fruit, so all that'll be left will be actual flowers and vegetables to photograph....

I'm sure I'll make do just fine...

June 1 is the earliest "safe" date to put in a garden here. Optimists may try for May 15 at their own risk!
