And where's the challenge in that? It's too easy with such a great lens!
Jokes aside, great eye as usual

thank you - and I partially agree on the 'challenge' of using such a lens; I use the SIC as both an educational tool for myself and as an evaluation tool for lenses....

this month, the A50/1.7 is going to tell me whether or not I need a 50/1.4 for the bokeh.....

Siggy 30 1.4... it's an excellent almost-dark lens, which is one the reasons I got it

a 35mm lens on your K50 would be a safest bet to start. DA 35 2.4 is a great example of one of those lenses. It gives you an equivalent 50mm fov on your crop camera. In the film days 50mm was the usual kit lens, most versatile one. Used for all kinds of photos - both landscapes and portraits. And it really works great as an one size fit all lens.
I'll post here flicker examples shot with Nikon's 35mm on a crop camera (just because there are more examples for that focal length shot with Nikon's lens. Pentax one is on par with it).

thank you - that first post was over two years ago and a couple of dozen lenses have been bought and evaluated through this thread...

now we all just talk about our primes, show pics of them, pics with them, etc....

and here's a link to a Pentax DA 35mm group:
