Congrats - and never underestimate the Power of Bacon.

I was lucky enough to spot this owl up in a tree...but I was armed only with the M50/1.7. At least I came away with a shot (and wasn't using a 28mm!)

This was a throwaway shot, waaayy underexposed. I was able to somewhat massage the RAW into a passable photo. Yay.

M50/1.7

A couple shots with the DA*55 on the K-1 that I like. I forgot what it is like to shoot with a 50mm prime on full frame camera. To think when I started 30 years ago all I had was K1000 and a 50mm prime.

1/8s handheld, the K-1 SR really is something.

A walk downtown tonight with the K3 and DA*55. I was impressed with this lens on the K3. It seems to need no AF adjustment. The focus does tend to hunt a bit at times but that is typical with all DA* lenses. You either learn to live with it or sell them.

Yeah - there might be a few "bad" 50s out there, but I haven't encountered one yet. The M50/2 is probably the "worst" I've used. Not as sharp wide-open as some others, and with less pretty bokeh - but stopped down a bit, it's sharp, colorful and contrasty!

Taken one evening with the M50/2 on a K5 at iso 800, 1/20 sec!
