A lovely inter-enmeshing of farmland shapes. Also, I love the colors. Here in the Midwest we are going into the part of the year when the landscape starts getting decidedly monochromatic, yet you've found an assemblage of those components that nonetheless have some very rich hues to them, even finding some warmth in the gray sky.
thank you - my wife refers to winter as 'the big, grey suck'....

I try to find more life in it than that, but sometimes there is only so much you can do with grey & brown....

Agree with goats - nice shot and one of your best from the FA300.

Took me a bit to see the owl, but I found it. I agree with the others, nice mixture of shapes and tones.

Winter can be photographic, just takes a bit more work. The skies can be very clear and blue, and the trees with no leaves are a favorite of mine. The worst thing is the short days And I hate to say it, but a little snow and ice makes for some great photo-ops.

this is the view south

no snow here (yet), but without blue skies, this is what winter holds for us here in the hay fields of SW Missouri.... I love the colors and richness of the browns, and all the textures of the grasses....

This is our "woods trail". I keep trying to get photos that show the trail, but the trail is almost always subtle. I discovered some time back that a fisheye or super-wide works best. So yesterday I took the leaf blower and cleaned the leaves off the trail, now you can really see it! These are taken with the Rokinon 10mm f/2.8, at f/8 to get everything in focus.

Lovely. The last shot reminds me of certain views down into our south ravine, except that the creek there is intermittent in dry times, except sometimes for a few remnant pools.

Thanks! That stream is probably "intermittent", but it usually has a trickle in it except maybe in the driest of dry July/August.

just a quick note - the Porst 55/1.2 will be going in for repair; I noticed last night that the focus ring felt a little rough and by the end of the evening, more of a metal-on-metal grinding feel....

hopefully, nothing that will end the lens's usability, but we'll see....
