I think so - $90 has been the standard fee for the lenses I've sent them...
That sounds good to me, hard to find any kind of service on anything less than that. That is good to know.

Didn't take any photos today. Here is one from 2016, I keep finding old stuff that I never PPed. K20D with DFA 50 Macro.

And also from 2016, K20D with Rokinon 8mm Fisheye

I have the DA*55, FA 50 macro, and the DA 50 1.8. The DA*55 is in a league of its own compared to the other lenses. I use it on my K-1 more than the K3. The FA 50 macro is probably one of the sharpest lenses I own.

The DA*55 has its issues of course. Autofocus is slow and frustrating at times. Mine needs the typical DA* waking up when mounted to the camera. This lens has a high SDM failure rate and can not be converted to screwdrive. However I would be more than happy to use this as a manual focus lens. It is that good. From f1.4 to f2.0 it can be a bit soft and exhibit some CA. After f2.2 this is no longer an issue. On mine the IQ peaks around f5.6-6.3. The DA*55 can focus quite close which is definitely a plus for me.

The FA 50 macro is sharp right from f2.8. It will exhibit some CA but can be corrected. The lens is heavy for a 50mm lens. The focus throw is around 180 degrees since it is a macro. A focus limiter would be a help. The DFA version does have quick-shift capability. The DFA, FA, and F versions all share the same optics.

If I could only one it would be the DA*55. There is just something specail about the images it can produce. The bokeh is very pleasing and not too busy. The rounded apeture blades help. The color rendering is that specail Pentax pixy dust.

and there's the rub for the DA*55... the potential for SDM failure and no option for screwdrive on it....

and I also see the FA-50 1.4 selling for well under half the prices for the DA*55.....

I think what I am hunting for is something similar to what I have found in the Sigma 28mm - a 50-ish lens that I can leave on the K-3 and shoot just about anything/everything I want with it....

perhaps I should be more interested in investing in a 43Limited...

Tree stand. K-3 with K 55mm f/1.8. The sunshine today really showed some colors with this lens.

---------- Post added 01-12-18 at 07:26 PM ----------

Took a bunch for lens sales. K20D with M 50mm f/4 Macro, this is a solid performer. I also ordered some film so I can test the old OM-1n with my remaining Olympus lenses. I will post those when all is processed...

Creek in Ohio hardwood forest

Taken during winter thaw with "new" Kiron 28mm f 2.0 and K-7. Actually, I am quite impressed with this lens, and inspired to try some other Kiron offerings.
