great flower images. Our Asian lilies are still a week away, so I am mainly photographing irises, clematis, and early daisies.

OK - first shots of this virtually-unknown lens

firstly, I'm going to need to have it repaired: the aperture lever has no spring/return action, so it does not stop down/meter reliably

next, there are probably minimal coatings here so any strong lighting is going to wash away any contrast....

but - there is potential here; some sharpness and definitely color rendering are both positives... as I said, these are just the first handful of shots...
