I went back and reworked this shot taken a few years ago with the Vivitar 19 on *ist D, at iso 800 (which is as high as I ever use with that camera). I reprocessed the original RAW, using some newer profiles in Rawtherapee, which cleaned things up a bit. There's still some ghosting seen on the overhead lights.

The butterfly shot is quite striking!

When night falls, so do the shutter speeds (slower!) An after-sunset 1/20 sec exposure at the park. A35/2.8

I believe the butterfly was either resting or slowly dying - she didn't seem too interested in me at all...
