Hi Christian

Wrong 35 the LTD is the lens in question

And my point was, they sell for under 300 in the used market...

...and my 2nd point is that the M 50 1.7 is also perfection IMHO....

Hi Christian

No worries
The internet does not do intent of question or answer too well

I had to sell a guitar back in 2014 I think to buy the DA 35 2.4 which sold for 182 dollars at the time... And was going used for 160-170 because the regular price was (I still remember) $246 just the month before!

It's amazing how many great deals on APSC lenses are out there, especially after the K-1 came out.

Perhaps, but, no matter how good, neither a 35mm nor a 50mm is a 28mm. If one especially wanted or needed the 28mm angle of view, they can't actually compete, though a better 28mm could.

it is my intent, with the month of August, to make 24mm the new 28...

I don't think 24's get enough attention and would like to have a good one in my kit. I've got a Tokina 24 RMC and it doesn't seem to get much love in reviews.

I always loved the 35mm focal length on 35mm film, until I moved somewhere else and went different places, then I found it to wide or too narrow preferring either a 40-45mm or 24mm. Having moved again I find myself using 70-85mm, 55-58mm, 40-45mm and 20-24mm equivalent. But that is just me and where I now live.
On crop sensor I would have thought there would be plenty of mileage in a 24mm lens - near as dammit equivalent to 35mm. Back in the days of film 35mm was pretty standard for compact cameras, and for good reason, its very useful. Fuji's x100 series carries this on. The problem might be finding a good enough 24mm lens, especially if you have been spoilt looking at images from the ltd series. I know I certainly have!

I have a nice copy of the K24/2.8 (which is a jewel of a lens) and now this Tamron 24/2.5...

I have also read good things about the Sigma 24/1.8 EX, which can be difficult to find in k-mount...

pepperberry, haven't you had a 24mm Tamron in the past? Or am I thinking of a 28?

you're thinking of the 28/2.5

I've actually had two of them, but the most recent one I bought for the mount, and gifted the lens itself to a friend (who does not shoot Pentax)...

I like the shot Allen, I wish you had stopped down to F 5.6 or f 8 so the whole critter was in focus though. Colorful bird though, what is it?
