Thank you. As your pictures show, the addition of off camera flash really add drama and contrast to a scene. Your bird Xmas decoration really displays some menace! I have only just started sown this path with a small flash for close up work, but even with this simple set up the possibilities seem endless! But then I might be straying off topic.

Great food pictures as always...

I have to ask, I know your wife kneads the bread by hand, but how do you bake it to get it to look like that? Do you have a wood fire oven? Or a cast iron pan? I'm a bread person and that looks like my dream bread right there... of course I don't think I'd have the time to bake it like she does, mine comes from a bread machine... don't judge me, at least I'm eating fresh non-processed bread

Your bacon pictures are always yummy, too... I "like" anything with bacon in it!

Regarding the lenses, I like what you get from the 55mm 2.8 Macro, but the DFA 50 2.8 Macro is just on another level... if/when I ever get a K-1 that will be my 50.

Helping Oot

A young lady who has just signed up with a model agency and working together with her today (just adding to help her pad up the portfolio). I have no doubts that she is destined for great things.

"Lady Luck” (Pentax-A* 135mm F1.8) shot wide open at F1.7

the bread is shaped as it rises in a brotform (a round basket for this purpose) and then baked in a cast-iron Dutch oven - ours is a 4 quart bare iron, but you can use an enameled Dutch oven also...

the bread has a hard, chewy crust and an amazing crumb inside and is perfect with a bit of butter...

the D FA 50 Macro was a revelation-lens for me; sharper than anything else I own and makes me a better photographer than I think I am....

That's what I imagined from the pictures... and I'm already salivating at the prospect!

So cast iron, huh? That explains it I'll have to try it with my cast iron dutch oven. I have a 7 quart, but that just means more bread

Everyone talks about Limiteds but to my eyes, all Pentax 50mm macro lenses even dating back to the Takumars have the most exquisite color rendition, and sharpness in buckets...

K200mm f/4 on K20D. I am finding this lens to be an outstanding performer (as are all of my "K" series lenses so far).
