I'm really liking this lens:

thinking of picking up an Adaptall-2 copy of the Tamron 28mm f2.5...... anybody want to talk me out of it?

Do you think it's as useful as the DA 35 (meaning, not too long)? Is it that much better than the Plastic Fantastic? Should I put it on my future list? Considering I don't acquire anything as fast as you do... my future purchases list is kind of small now that I have most of what I want.

I do think it is as useful as the DA35 - possibly even more useful simply because of the lack of size... it disappears on the front of my K-3, which nearly becomes a point-and-shoot camera for the ease of handling...

I'll be Singling with both the 40 and 35 in months to come, so there will be some comparisons - along with the DA50, as well...

Another post-thunderstorm image with the Industar 50-2...this poor tree has been mostly underwater for the past 6 months due to lake flooding. It looks like it survived, and can hopefully stay dry for awhile....

too late.... found a deal on the P/KA adapter as well....

now that I have the adapter, the Adaptall 2 versions of the 17mm, 24mm, and maybe even the 350/500mm lenses become interesting options...

The 40 is a bit of an insane lens with phenomenal flare resistance / IMHO and great "3D" I have sigma 30 and I like it but I like also the 40 ..and the 50....

some DA40 shots

70-200/2,8 is not my favourite size

CA-NIKON in the correct order

view full size...it's very sharp and stopping it down it's just a habit or did I get a vg copy?

DA 40 Reversed

K-3 with Sears 135mm f2.8 Macro

the 'macro' function on this lens, while more of a close-focus, isn't too bad when you stop the lens down further:

even reasonable bokeh...

but, desaturate it:
