who doesn't love a good rooster shot?

I was up at the pond again last night, hoping for a well-defined sunset, but too many clouds for that....

I will counter with a nice hen shot - MayDay just finished laying an egg and was not too happy with me holding her in the box for portraits:

Pulled out the D FA 50 f/2.8 Macro, haven't used it in a while (on K20D).

It is never a mistake to use the Pentax-D FA 50mm f 2.8 because it is the sharpest knife in the drawer!---and it sure does the honors for your 20D. Nice shots.

Nicely done.

I usually resort to my iPhone for sunsets, I never seem to capture them well with the KP.

Don't fall back on the iPhone (even though I do it as well!). Your KP is certainly capable. After some experimentation with camera settings, exposure, etc, I managed this shot with a $15 no-name 28mm lens on a 6 mpx *ist D from 2003
