Cosina 55mm f/1.2

I tried some at f/1.2 and was not able to capture anything usable. I may have to take some shots under very controlled conditions to figure out what is happening at f/1.2

....anyway, I do like these at f/4 and f/5.6 ..

I know that my experience with an f1.2 lens took a considerable amount of time and patience before I started to see acceptable results...

Just keep on shooting, as pepperberry farms stated. A f/1.2 takes some patience and practice but once you get the technique down . . . . oh my.

Ah, so it *can* be done Very nice! When using my 50/1.7 or 55/1.8 (my two fastest) wide open, it usually involves very slowly rocking forward and back until I hopefully achieve focus! (or a tripod, which isn't often)

oh yeah, it can be done.... my keeper rate falls waaaaay down, and I dance a little bit inside when I nail the focus, but it can most definitely be done...

K-70 with HD DA 21mm Limited

Wine tasting afternoon at a local spot in the hills behind Perth. The colours of timber, stone and angled sunlight make these shots work, not necessarily anything clever from the photographer.

This is the first time I have given the 21mm Limited a good test. It's sharper than my other wide-angle lenses as far as I can tell. Also it is not so wide that it picks up stray reflections or incident light on the front element (that clever lens "hood" design is a winner). I will go back in a few weeks with the SMC 15mm Limited to compare, once the leaves turn golden. All my four Limiteds are special lenses!

Well I have my 55 f/1.2 downtown today so a lunchtime walk, aperture wide open, will be my physical and photographic exercise for the day.

Can't you position those steel lawn chairs so they will appear somewhere way back in the bokeh?

Exactly, sort of teaser bokeh.
