I use Tonality for selective color, but there is a definite learning curve...

LOL

thanks for the nudge... actually, I'm shopping for something sub-20mm... I'd love to spring for a DA15 Limited, but not in the budget yet.... so looking at Tamron SP 17mm.....

Thanks Paul. This forum has been such a great resource for tips, advice and examples. I spend at least an hour or two here every single day reading thru threads old and new and admiring member-submitted photos.

Did you know that 16 short months ago I had bought my very first DSLR, that K50? In fact I hadn't used any SLR in over 35 years other than a few shots with an SF1 I bought as a gift to my wife back in the late '80's. I had packed away my K1000 years earlier. For whatever reason, and I suspect it was the difficulty level after a few years away, I had lost interest in it then and my wife soon lost interest too without my involvement.

So had it not been for members like you, Norm, Uncle Vanya, BigMack and others who not only welcomed me but offered good advice and encouragement I'd still be struggling along, perhaps giving up on photography again. You guys have brought me up to speed so much faster than I could have hoped for. When I go back and look at the images I was capturing/composing just a year ago and compare to what I've done in the past month I'm driven even more to work on my photographer's eye. I think there's hope for me yet!

A million thanks to all of you.
