I really like the BW version - awesome shot...

Yet, the color version, the top part (al above the slanted road) is to die for... however, below the slant there is a "gap" that my eye cannot dismiss.

In all, the BW version works best due to uniformity; but what you got on the top part of the color version = outstanding!

it's about 120 exposures+/- at 25sec, 800iso...f2.8......used the cameras on board intervalometer adding 2 seconds to the exposure time (that is shortest time between shots using on camera interval) that time was 27 seconds.......also put the lens cap on and took 12 dark frames same exposure settings as noise reduction and any other corrections were turned off in camera.......loaded them up in a program called starstax (it's free!).....mixed a sky edit and foreground edit

after some trial and error it goes rather smoothly

Many thanks for your comment. I agree that in the B&W version the shortcomings of the composition are less obvious.
Now I have a good reason to go back on my motorbike, drive to Sicily and improve the shot!

Thank you so much for explaining to me, never played with multi exposure before. I need to google more info now, I'm intrigued

you are welcome ......did a lot of reading and searching out info when I got into it....very helpful stuff out there.....but certainly look up starstax !
