Thank you. Actually they are chrysanthemums which are starting to wilt. The effect is very easy to achieve. Put your camera at base ISO and into manual and start at f8 to f11 and your fastest flash synch shutter speed. Pop up the flash and put a diffuser in front of it. Don't have a diffuser? Use a piece of tissue as one - it works just as well. Compose, focus and shoot. Check the image to see if you need to change the aperture either up or down. Repeat at the new setting if necessary.
Off camera flash with a diffused snoot (easy to make home made snoots out of cereal boxes, tape and tissue) is even better, but here I was being lazy.
Make sure you have no bright objects in the background which might reflect the flash
