CZJ Sonnar 135mm

A sharpness test, using the recently-acquired electric Sonnar on a Sony A7ii. Check the detail in the sawtooth roofs and the dome on the ship behind that.

Now I have the three star CZJ - Flektogon 35mm, Pancolar 50mm and Sonnar 135mm.

Wow, I have to say that the K outperforms the DA (no pixel peeping, just eye-test)
As my long awaited A 35mm f2 finally arrived today, I have now decided to do some test shots. These are all tripod mounted and no camera moved during the test. All at f3.5. All at the same parameter adjustment levels.

A 35mm f2.0

HD DA 35mm f2.8

K 28mm f3.5

Center crop

A 35mm f2.0

HD DA 35mm f2.8

K 28mm f3.5

Edge crop

A 35mm f2.0

HD DA 35mm f3.5

K35mm f3.5

I think the take away of this is that all of them are plenty sharp enough at f3.5. To my eyes even wide open the 28mm seems the sharpest, but that may be due to the additional DOF. The A is a smidge sharper than the HD DA and at this distance has a slightly longer FL. Further testing of the A 35mm f 2.0 to follow
