there may be something to this, however, I believe it lies in the jpeg processing...
for example, this shot with the X-T2 and TT Artisan 35/1.4:
while sharp, has a dark/gritty feel to it; most of my shots in this time-frame are similar....
however, this shot, taken with the same lens & body combination:
lacks that grit/darkness evident in the prior shot - yes, different kind of image, but even the outdoor shots from March and April were similar...
