48 mm FL @ f/11 on my "prime" zoom (you only use one focal length at a time, really).

Good point, a zoom is an infinite set of primes, right?

X-H1 with TT Artisan 50mm f1.2

quick and dirty comparison between two 50/1.2 lenses - posted above is the SMC A 50mm f1.2, and this (in similar light, same aperture, etc) is the TT 50mm f1.2:

The K3 + Pentax A 50 mm f/1.2 is a lot more life-like than the second picture. I don't know, the second image seems "fake", "bizarre". Pentax colors are much more realistic, contrast is natural and the whole picture is really better.

there may be something to that, possibly because I had several years' worth of work with Pentax jpeg's and only a few month's worth with the Fuji's.....

On the "Post your medium-format pictures" thread, there is a U.K. guy shooting with a Fuji GFX 100 Mpx camera. His images look the same, colder, with a "strange" color palette, "grainy" (very sharp but like there was a black dot matrix in the background to enhance sharpness), so his pictures look "unnatural". Pentax's are warmer, more life-like (just my opinion). The transition between sharp elements and "fuzzier" backgrounds is seamless in the K3.

there may be something to this, however, I believe it lies in the jpeg processing...

for example, this shot with the X-T2 and TT Artisan 35/1.4:

while sharp, has a dark/gritty feel to it; most of my shots in this time-frame are similar....

however, this shot, taken with the same lens & body combination:

lacks that grit/darkness evident in the prior shot - yes, different kind of image, but even the outdoor shots from March and April were similar...

Fuji's rendering is like what they call a "rocky voice", sharp but grainy ... The second flower image looks very good, though.
