Ariz caldo

Ariz caldo with boiled egg and chicharones--Philippine comfort food. This dish is appropriate on a cold dreary November day like today in northeastern Ohio. It is somewhat like an Italian risoto but usually a little spicier.

KIT: Hasselblad HV (aka Sony a99 DSLT) with adapted lens Mamiya 645 C 80mm f 1.9, one of fastest medium format lens ever produced.

Took my DA 35mm Ltd on a walk, nothing special but for now I think I like this lens. We'll see at spring.

All with K-3 Mk III

Mamiya prime lens

Here are a few shots with the Mamiya-C 645 55mm f 2.8 mounted on the Hasselblad HV (a variation of the Sony a99). It makes a nice and low-cost normal lens for the DSLT a99.

Aninal action shots are definitely not my forte. The best of a bad bunch of cropped images of Lola having fun. X-T1 and Viltrox 56mm f1.4.

Here's a lens I love using on the 645Z

Couple of inside shots with the 645Z and (adapted) Pentax 67 55mm f 4.0, a great Pentax lens that some of its fans call "Perfect." One of the old Minolta lenses, because of its size and shape, is called the beer can lens; following that naming protocol, the P67 55mm should be called the syrup bucket lens. This too big and heavy to drop on your toe!
