Thanks Paul. This forum has been such a great resource for tips, advice and examples. I spend at least an hour or two here every single day reading thru threads old and new and admiring member-submitted photos.
Right there with you! I bought my first DSLR (*ist D) 6 years ago and it was such an awakening after years of using a P&S. But the best thing that happened was when the seller turned me onto these forums. It's hard to imagine how I would have progressed without the help & guidance of the great folks here on PF. There is really nothing else like it.

Here's one with the Industar 50-2 - an amazing (and cheap!) little lens...

thanks for the nudge... actually, I'm shopping for something sub-20mm... I'd love to spring for a DA15 Limited, but not in the budget yet.... so looking at Tamron SP 17mm.....
I too am saving for a super-wide. I have the DA15 but believe it or not I would like something wider. What I really want is a compact 10-12mm prime. But there is no such thing (outside a couple expensive full frame fisheye options with round images). The Samy 10mm f2.8 is a beast, too big for my taste. The next best thing will probably be either the Pentax DA 10-17 or the Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 version). I am on the fence about fisheye or not...

Some samples from 4th of July. More on my flickr feed. All taken with the DA21. Fireworks shots aren't the best, I have never been happy with my fireworks shots.

Felt the urge to make some b&ws. From our evening walk, Pentax A35 f/2.8.

Taken on Main Street, across from City Hall. I used an Image 28/2.8, which I purchased here on the Marketplace for $15...

It included shipping from Montreal, no less! I've had it for about 6 yrs now - it was one of my first prime purchases.

Love the jars, pepperberry!

Another with the Image 28/2.8 - on Main Street again. This is the old City Drugstore and a jewelry shop on the corner:
