So you got the Takumar 20 4.5? I've had my eyes on one...

Here's the Sigma 30 1.4. I can't complain about this lens I guess...

Nice, very sharp. Tree details are excellent.

I'm particularly impressed with the fact that the first picture was taken at f/2.2. It's sharp enough at f/1.4 and from f/1.8 forward, that is the kind of results I get in the on-focus part of the picture.

The 2nd picture I also like a lot, though the top left's purple fringing is not something I've experienced a lot at f/5.6, but those are very harsh light conditions. I think the M 28 3.5 would have nailed that shot a lot better. Still, I can't complain about it since it does go down to f/1.4. As the head honcho of Sigma optics famously said, there's no magic in optics. You build every lens with a purpose and then choose your compromises.

Nope. Very nice!

These were taken in the same area as my photo with Jeannie above, except in September. Super Tak 28/3.5:

Dave, how do you like that F* 300? The bokeh is... interesting...

Here's the Sigma 30 1.4, as usual it's been seeing a lot of use, most of which I don't post here because it's been on family pictures duty All had a little editing from in-camera jpegs.

The first two are taken at the Emory University Museum (Michael C. Carlos Museum).

This vest is from circa 1900-19100 and depicts a vest the hunter would wear in gatherings. It contains teeth from several different species of animals that he has killed. Also, not bad for ISO 1600 in camera jpeg!

This is the Cesar Augustus portrait from the end of the first century. I've seen pictures of this before... never knew it has been sitting in a museum here in Atlanta.

And finally, a seasonal self portrait...

I like it - I need to spend more time with it, of course, but it is accurate and quick-to-focus, but I don't think those are the best backgrounds for bokeh...
