Ice floes on the Missouri River. The first is K-3 with DA 15, second and third are with the Rokinon 10mm f/2.8.

I love the perspective of the dome sticking up from UNDER the bridge!

There is a place on a small state highway approaching Madison, Wisconsin, from the south, where the dome of the capitol building can first be seen over rolling lines of trees, before one can tell one is coming up to a city at all, where all is alternating woods and farmland, and where that prestigious dome looks like nothing more than the top of one more dairy farm silo. It takes a few more bends in the highway before one can really tell it isn't part of a farm building.

It is a great spot and only about a mile from us, great photo spot, I am always amazed at how few people I see out there taking pictures. It is actually a public fishing access with a very nice and large concrete boat ramp, a little park and some camp sites.

Interesting about Madison. Madison is quite a bit bigger than Jefferson City, but I can imagine that the farmland is not far out of town like here.

Another perspective on the ice floes. Interesting issue, this is on the ped bridge on the Missouri River Bridge and I happen to be mid-span on the bridge. I am always amazed at how much bridges move when traffic goes over them. Some of the shots have just a bit of motion blur from the vibration, even with this ultra wide lens. At about 1/4000 shutter speed I could get it under control (or wait for a lull in the traffic). K-3 with Rokinon 10mm.

This was yesterday, same spot as the day before, just mid-day lighting instead of sunset.

This was an interesting little experiment. I am not usually inclined to mess with perspective correction. But I have tried a few with the 10mm because the tilted lines can be quite significant. The first photo is uncorrected and the second is corrected. The big trade off here is FOV, more than I expected! So correcting the perspective distortion in PS is easy, but accepting the result may not be so easy. K-3 with Rokinon 10mm again.

Glad you survived! During our last move, not having internet was a killer. For a couple weeks, we got by using the phone 4G network (sparingly) and public wi-fi like Starbucks or the library

believe it or not - the lack of computer was worse than the limited internet access... I couldn't do anything with the photos collecting on my camera bodies....

I fall back on my seldom-used laptop sometimes. Editing photos is do-able, but not fun...
