That's pretty much what I did when starting out, although I paid a bit more back in 2010. I still own my original D (fitted for fulltime m42 duty), then I picked up another one a couple years ago for $40, with less than 1k shots on it

The DS in the Marketplace is a nice deal with the extras and very low shutter count. They are simple, fun and capable little cameras
