Are any of you guys packin an A* 200/4 Macro? I've got a hankerin for one of those, even though they are quite pricey.

Snowy weather in April

A late snow storm hit us on Sunday, Easter evening.

KIT: Pentax 645Z with Pentax-FA 120mm f 4.0 macro.

For a first prime, on a cropped sensor like the k50, a 50mm can serve ok for walkaround and portrait. I do say ok - not great.

But a 50mm prime is always a safe starting point.

If you find an F 50mm 1.7, get it, should be under $85. It has AF, it is fast enough, and has great optics.

thank you... take a look at the date of the post you are responding to...

since then, several 50, 55, and even a 58mm have passed through... some have even stayed!

it is amazing what I, and perhaps others, post when

1 dealing with lack of caffeine

2 tired

3 lack of sleep

4 time of day

so don't sweat it

it has been done before, regardless of what " it " might be
