been trying to photograph these hummingbirds with the 100mm and 35mm macros

today I decided the heck with macro ( never got anything other than " close " ) and went with this combo:

K 3 II + SMC Pentax-DA * 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM

hand held, natural light

SOOC

crop and pp

Oh well. I succumed to the pull of a HD DA 40mm Ltd. Can't wait to test it! Need to sneak it pas SWMBO.

I love how it practically disappears on the face of my K-3 and makes the camera nearly a point-and-shoot....
