DA35/2.8 Macro is the only DA Limited prime I’ve kept for use with the KP and K-1 in crop mode. It is that good. Not even the SMC 15/4 or HD 21 are that good.

it is a strong statement - and I agree....

the 35 Limited is so good, it ended my LBA where the DA 20-40 Limited zoom was concerned..

the 35 Limited is so good, whenever anyone posts 'what would you choose if there was only one lens...', I always say 'DA 35 Limited'...

I could be happy with one and only one lens if that were it....

Pumpkin views.

Here are some views of one of my home-grown pumpkins, a handsome fellow even if I say so myself.

KIT: K-1 with (adapted) Pentax-A 645 150mm f 3.5.

I would agree with that also and my DA 35 has become my most frequent go-to lens. The D FA 50 f/2.8 macro is a close second.

I'd be harder-pressed to name my second lens....

the Single In Challenge has helped me in this regard, but there are so many good lenses out there....

I think the D FA*50/1.4 needs it’s own category, so DA35/2.8 still holds the #1 spot, K35/3.5 #2.

I so wish they would have followed up the DA 35 Ltd with a 28mm optic built with the same general design goals. I can't figure out which I would want more for my crop digital kit; an FA 35 f2 or a DA 35 Ltd. I should sell my DA 35 f2.4.

I need to share some shots into this thread that deserve breaking out of the F76 thread I've been running...

I had the DA 35/2.4 and it's a very sharp lens - but nearly too clean for me, if that's possible.... I much prefer the rendering of the 35 Limited and love its close-focusing ability....

No, I agree, and others have suggested similarly.
