This is my first post here, despite having mostly primes on my shelf, most of which are not current or recent product. From what I have seen on this site, 135mm is not particularly common in Pentax Forums posts, despite being a historic "must have" in the classic three lens kit for 35mm film. I am so very guilty to the point that while I have a 135mm lens, I don't know that I have ever shared photos from it other than with lens test/evaluation shots.
Soooo...earlier this week, I was doing a product shoot of a new macro lens for the "Latest Acquisition" thread and decided to do it with my 1971 Vivitar 135/2.8 (Komine, 5-element). Aside from a little flare due to not having an adequate hood and some LoCA (both corrected in PP), the results were unexpectedly pleasant.
Below (left to right) we have the amazing shipping box, the Lester A. Dine Dental 105mm f/2.8 Macro found inside, a stack of Ritz Crackers to show size, and the existing competition, Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 (72BB).
