Another Favourite Thistley Thing

Actually not a thistle at all, it's actually a Eryngium (Sea Holly).

Taken this morning on another dreich Highland Summers morning.

Thanks for naming this plant. I had one apparently volunteer in our garden, and had no idea at all what it was. Pentax Forum is truly more than photography!

I am doubly lucky you passed on the name because mine did not have a label, though I am not quite sure I looked in the correct place. :>)

oops - I'm not sure how serious I was with that offer on eBay..... doesn't much matter now, though...

one NIB Vivitar (Cosina) 100mm f3.5 Macro... on the way...

There is an Eryngium that is a perennial native flower of North American prairies. Here's a link to pictures and info about it:

Correct. It does not matter now.
I suspect you might already have a copy of this lens (under another name). But it's nice to have a spare or two!
