Some shots around the house with one of my favorite primes, the Pentax 67 55mm f 4.0. This medium format lens is huge and heavy, but its 13-inch MFD is great for flower closeups and landscape too.

Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro on my old Pentax K-m

I just went for a walk around my garden with a good lens on a very old digital camera. Now I see what quality optics can deliver on a very basic camera body, with no more processing than Microsoft Photos can offer. Good daylight conditions, all shot at 400ISO, f8.

I am very impressed with the lack of saturation in the red and white roses - this may have been one advantage of the CCD sensor. BTW, the edges of those sharp green leaves really are that colour, this is not a CA or PF effect.
