DA* 55 and K-1 2 shot Pano from Sunday morning. Stitched in ICE after basic DXO treatment. about a 2 Mb Flickr image from about 40 originally.

Why did the BB code not work as an imbed? At least the site is back and available after being inaccessible since last night here.

agreed - what's the effect on infinity-focus...?
Of course you couldn't focus at infinity unless you took off the extender, or you have to use one like the [choose your brand] Macro Focusing Extender, mine is from Vivitar and it works really well.
I was surprised that it handles so well, with little tradeoffs.

not sure that I've had enough time for a full comparison, but the Ultron (so far) seems sharper and the colors are more rich; I've also seen a bit more CA than I would with the DA 40 Limited...
The Marvel Universe seems to have taken over Cosina too!

Not sure how you're imbedding the image. With the BB code you simply paste it into the reply box. No need to use the "insert image" function.

If it were up to me, I'd be heading up there right now! We're in the middle of fire season with those warm and dry Santa Anas scheduled to start up again. Meanwhile, keep on posting those lovely autumn photos!

Since I lived in San Diego county for years and spent some portions of it at Camp Pendleton so I am very familiar with the Santa Ana winds and the fire danger. Always have a GTH bag packed during fire season.

Broke out the DA 300mm f4 and K-3, both of which I haven't used in awhile. This is one incredible combo.
