So whats your verdict then?

I blaming fellow member dragon132312, for getting me started on this 20mm malarkey... way back in 2013.

I can still remember it was quite difficult to obtain the original hood... even second hand.

I had to order new hood direct from Pentax, who only had one in Europe at that time, I can remember the selling of arms, legs and a kidney were involved to rise the purchase price.

I have a generic, screw-in hood for her - does not vignette, but isn't nearly as wide as the OEM hood either...

verdict then - this is an amazing lens... the colors are huge, amazing sharpness at all depths, reasonable MFD - and it's a reasonable size for a fast, ultra-wide...

this is so good, I've listed my Tokina 17/3.5 for sale, even though it's wider, etc.... the 20/2.8 is that much better...

while I have not run her through a SIC yet - I will soon... but I think she'll end up on my Desert-Isle-List (DIL) of lenses...

I think so too for one so wee.

I tend to use my "Good Lady” Pentax-A 20mm F2.8 over my “Mistress" Pentax-A 15mm F3.5... for my wider work these days.
