Since I got a good red subject, I decided to give it a go with other lenses...

Here's the Rikenon XR 35/2.8

Here's the K 135/2.5

Caveat - the K 135 is long exposure/night shot

Yes, that information is correct. In fact, I have the 55mm FL that Brian converted and silvered for me, as well as a Canon FD 55mm f 1.2 also converted but not silvered. I did not realize that there was a problem with the moderators as Brian did really great work until losing everything in a home fire. I have not heard from him in a good while, and hope he and his family are doing well.I will try to use these lenses soon and post to this lens club or to the f 1.2 club.

I got to really work on my small front yard lawn due to the stay home orders. Everyone in my block (but me and another fellah) has a landscaping company doing their yards. I learned about fertilizing, 3-in-1, burning my lawn, watering, Kelp, Humic Acid...

In the end, I am very proud of my results thus far (PS - photo looks waaaay better than in-person)

At 28mm w my favorite M 28/2.8:

At 35mm w the Rikenon 35/2.8:

Both shots at 10:30sh at night, long exposure. Wife saw my through the window and almost had a meltdown - she do not want the neighbors to know that I'm crazy yet (her words).

Here are several shots taken with the K-1 and converted Canon-FL 55mm f 1.2, all at f 1.2. Converted to K-mount. More posted over on the Bokeh thread.

Thank you. It is an old classic lens with both the advantages and disadvantage of its era. Here is an interesting review article about this lens which may be of interest.
