I go out on a limb and say Gary has the 35/3.5 - that first water shot, I've shot similar landscapes with my 35/3.5 and OOTC looks very similar. It is an awesome lens, second in my 35mm to my Rikenon XR... but not by much.

whoops, you beat me to my prediction (I drafted it, but sidetracked and just posted it).

Glad to see another happy 35/3.5 SMC user.
Cheers Ed, well spotted. I have four Pentax 35mm lenses: this one, M35mm/2.8, the plastic fantastic and the SMC Limited macro. They are all great lenses, but the Takumar and the Limited seem well ahead of the other two.

I also have the M 35/2.8 and it is not a bad lens... just that there are better 35mms out there pricing equally (like the Takumar). But man, it is not fair to put that Limited on the same list; I've never used it, but on the price tag alone it should speak for itself (and seeing samples, it does).

Glad to hear that the Tak can at least hold its own with the limited.

I do not think I ever posted this shot on this thread, and while praising the SMC Tak 35/3.5 here it goes (maybe my favorite 35/3.5 SMC Tak shot to date):

Two years ago, on a visit to my homeland... You know how close I had to get to the water to get that shot.... While the K-50 is weatherproof, the metal Takumar is not. To date, no signs of corrosion or issues related to that beach venture.

The lens is not wide enough when practicing social distancing.
