The Yashica ML 55 mm f/2.8 Macro seems to perform beautifully on APSc sensors. Is a mount adapter necessary? I think Yashica shared the same mount as Pentaxes, am I right? Used on eBay, it still sells for nearly 500 $ (U.S.) so it must be highly regarded as other Yashica lenses go for peanuts.

Regards

Good morning, Richard

this Yashica macro lens is really a sweetheart of a lens, but is not a K-mount lens at all, but a Yashica/Contax mount; I am using this lens on my modified K-S1 body:

Konica Hexanon 24mm AR f2.8-16.

First shots with my newly acquired lens on Sony A7ii. These are all auto exposed with Av setting, jpegs straight out of camera, except the pic with the trees on the lake which needed a bit of darkening.
