Been thinking about the DA 21... then I realized I had not used the Tokina 24 2.8 in my K-3 yet, to see how it handles that sensor.
Holy moley. It takes that sensor for a spin and handles it with ease. Pixel sharp.
In the first picture, its link should allow one to pixel peep. You can see the pine needles. I don't think I've seen DA 21 pictures being this sharp (sharpening in camera set to -4, the lowest value meaning no sharpening at all, and no sharpening in RawTherapee!). I had to clean up a bit of noise in the sky, because I took it in ISO 800 by mistake... and I applied a film profile (Ektachrome 100 Generic, in RawTherapee). That was it.
This one is wide open at f/2.8... I can see a lot of detail when pixel peeping, but I didn't upload the full resolution. Long story but the sites that upload full res for free, post the landscape images in either full or small size on the web...
