Yeah I think it will all work out well The SMC-M 50 f4 Macro is actually a fantastic landscape lens. The sharpness and color definition at longer distances is astounding and better than most of my 50s. I think only my SMC K 50 1.2 matches it at f8 and closer to infinity.

That last pic is a very nice and interesting sunset, I like it.

A few days away so some catching up to do. The KP and K 35mm f3.5 accompanied me so here are a few snaps from our first short break in two years.

Spiratone 90mm f/2.5 Macro, which is on ebay for 99 dollars shipped, and would give me 1:1 macro,
That Spiratone is the same lens as my Panagor 90/2.8 Macro - great lens BTW.

You're going to like this lens. Versatile. Great Macro, great at infinity, lovely colours, A-setting... Enjoy.

I finally had to grab a stick and move her from out in front of the door....

Yeah it's the same lens. Pretty well regarded, some like it better than the Bokina. And it's good at infinity, too. How do you like yours?
Now I'm second guessing myself, should I have gone with the 1:1 macro... but I got the SMC-A 50 2.8 Macro for significantly less money. So the price and the colors of the Pentax lens couldn't really be argued with... I think...

That's what I'm hoping for. I had decided not to buy one but the deal was way too good. Similar to my SMC-M 50 1.7 (written on the lens barrel) and SMC-F 50 1.7 (looks like it was used daily for years...), this goes to my collection of worn-out lenses and hopefully it still performs as well as the aforementioned two lenses.
