Sweet shots BTW = same subject but way different results (not talking about post processing, which I liked here)... the vignette on the second shot is beautiful.
Thank you.

More on the Hasselblad HV and Minolta AF 100mm f 2.8 macro.
The pink of that roses is gorgeous. That's a beautiful garden and the photos do justice to it.

Scan of a Monument Valley picture taken in 1998. P67 + late 55 mm f/4 on Ektar 25.

In 1998, there was a campground in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. Nowadays the site has been built over with a modern Hotel and souvenir shops. The night had been particularly windy and my Mercury Villager van never ceased bouncing around because of heavy windbursts. I got up at 4h30 in the morning, set up my tripod and composed this scene in advance. Before the sun came up, it became all cloudy and I thought "Well, my day is over ... SIGH!". But suddenly there was a clearing in the cloud cover and the sun shone "under the clouds" for a few minutes, creating these intense colors. Just what I needed to take this picture with my old Pentax 67 + late-model 55 mm f/4 on tripod on Kodak Ektar 25 film. The sky became all cloudy after that and my photography day was over. Admittance cost only 5 dollars in those days and camping was free.

nicely done - the value of patience (I don't have any usually, so I can talk about it from over here)

Monument Valley
Nicely done Richard! I recently re-watched "The Searchers" with John Wayne, which was filmed there. Check it out for some dramatic views of Monument Valley.

One more with the Mamiya

Shooting in our apple orchard with the Mamiya 60mm, still at f 2.8, and realized there were wild turkey in the scene, and of course 60mm was way too short to catch them very well, but here they are anyway.

Vivitar 135mm f2.8 Close Focusing + K-5iis. I'm really liking this combination, even though it's only 1:2 macro.
