Nice snail!
The following are the best of a fair number I took this afternoon. And the last for today. This cute-looking fly turned his back to me. It's about a 50% crop.
Getting frustrated I tried the Sigma 70-300mm. This fly is a 1/3 crop from a 190mm image. Well, the lens says 200mm but the file says 190mm. Odd.
Then I got lucky and a butterfly flew in, stopped for a couple seconds, flew around my head taunting me, and stopped for maybe 6 seconds, long enough for me to get this at 300mm. My best butterfly shot ever, since normally the exposure is off and the wing texture goes to white. I think I had adjusted this down 1EV.
I think I may be getting better, but only through taking a lot of wasted frames. These are all sharp enough for screen but I am not sure about print.
