Lens hood for smc m 24-35

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a lens hood for this lens please.
I have tried generic metal round hoods and plastic petal hoods but all are plagued with severe vignetting.
I have been unable to source an original Pentax hood.
Many thanks.

I just use a generic wide angle metal lens hood from Ebay for something like $4.00 .... Does the job for me.
I have a 24-50 SMC-K and it works fine on that one ??

I use a "standard" metal screw-on hood for my 28, 35, & 50mm primes - it works very well with no vignetting. It's about 3/4" deep, readily available from the well-known auction site. I don't have a 24mm so I can't speak for that FL.

High wise the hood is very small, so I don’t think you will have many options especially if you are using the zoom on a full frame camera.

I would keep looking; one will show up sooner or later.

Are you using this on Film/FF ? I just checked mine again on APS-C and its fine at 24mm. They are all over E-bay. Just get one that says "Wide Angle". On Film/FF it may not be wide enough though.
I also checked my Rubber collapsible hood....it clears 24mm too so that may be an option.

Many thanks for the speedy replies.
I use it on the Sony a7r so full frame.
The generic ones have been sourced from eBay and Amazon.
Guess I will have to wait to get the original Pentax hood.

Ok....That's where the problem comes from then..... You will have to get a 24mm hood with the correct diameter. Pentax , Olympus , or Nikon should have something dedicated.
