Tamron 17-50mm

PentaxPoke,

I just ordered my Tamron 17-50mm from BH photo couple of hours ago. Then wanted to read some review here. Thanks for backing my instinct. Can't wait for it to arrive. I also ordered Pentax 40mm/2.8 limited, sigma 1.5x teleconverter, and Pentax 360 FGZ Flash. I think I am decently equipped.

Your Tamron pictures are great!

I will post my pictures once I get (standard shipping though) those lenses.

Thanks again.

That is a VERY nice lens.

I did pick up on a little PF off center in high contrast areas. The center frame areas look great.

Just noticed we're a little late to the party....

Thanks,

I have learned alot from some of the people here, so it is nice when I am able to "pay it forward."

Hmm... I've been salivating for a DA 21mm pancake for what seems like forever. Now I see this great lens. Thanks a lot for having to make me rethink the DA 21!

Hello

Just bought 16-50 DA* - $500 and I love it because :
- quiet focus ( I didn't use Tamron 17-50 for Pentax, but used Tamron 17-50 for Canon and it made me crazy with focus sound ).
- 16 is better than 17
- Weather shield
and after all of this, it's Pentax !! Anyway, Tamron did a good job with 28-75 2.8 and 17-50 2.8

So my question is, should I consider trading in my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 for the Tammy 17-50? Also where do you find it for Pentax everywhere I've looked so for I only find this lens for the "other" brands..
Amazon has the Tammy in stock.
