I am so getting the kick out of reading this dug up post

Ok here's my contri, particularly liked the off focus waterbrush-like feel.

Cool thread!

Here's one from the Super Takumar 100mm Macro at F4.
The bottom right is in focus, and everything else has multiple circular highlights that make it look like a dry brush.

Very nice pictures!

I would like to contribute with this DA35mm macro bokeh smoothie:

EDIT: Hmm, perhaps this will not budge. It has rather heavy handed curve adjustements.

My contribution to "image as Painting thread." The Great Egret was taken with a K20D/Sigma 50-500mm on the Texas Gulf coast in the spring of 1908. The only post-processing was severe cropping.

I'm not sure if the last picture meets any of the criteria of this thread, but I'm posting it anyway:-).

Cheater! hehe. Actually, though, it does bring it the other way, art as a photograph.

(ps is it just me or does the kid in the painting remind me of your little guy? Must be the hair I think.)

ok, i'm in, too...

all of these came out of the camera like this, very little pp. first is just nice bokeh from flowers inside the tree that are about the same size, and a fairly patient bird (male shama thrush, kauai).... the last two are intentional in-camera produced images....
