What SR on a reverse mounted lens?

I use an old 28mm reverse mounted lens for macro work. I use the fact that the lens is 28mm, so I set the SR to 28mm. Is this correct or is there some other factor that changes the logic? Do I stick with 28mm or set it to something else?

I'd stick with the 28mm when reversed. Remember though that if you use a tripod that SR should be turned off, so although you need to enter the focal length it will not be used .

At the distances involved with a reversed lens (and for macro in general), the SR is not liable to work really anyway...I'd turn it off.

I would enter 28 then turn SR off just for EXIF data.
