Nice efforts - #2 especially has the 3D pop so many write about (careful control of background helps).

After using the lens/camera some more I find that the metering is correct in manual. I just need more practice This lens is much better on a tripod, but aren't they all. Here's another sharpness test....I think I cut my eyes on that one...

Just got the lens in today from KEH. Much nicer than what they described online. So far I think the images are very good. I just need time to learn how to use a Manual K lens all over again. I'm wondering what those of you out there that have the K lenses do you always shoot manual?
I shoot mainly M mode or Av and green button ALOT. You already know that lens has very good potential from the first few images you took..... Very nice by the way.

I love mine for tight portraits- opened up to 2.5/2.8/3.5 it gives wonderful definition to the eyes and not much else. The purple/green in out of focus areas drives me up the wall, though, making it a lot less useful for landscape/etc, but if you know what you're doing its a great lens. Sometimes I just look at it with the aperture wide open and just start to chuckle with excitement over that crazy wide-open aperture.

I'm really liking this lens. Lots of fun using the old manual approach.

I was finally able to shoot a High School event tonight to test the lens for indoor use. After several adjustments I finally found the sweet spot of this lens. F4.8 Shutter speed 125 to 160. ISO 1600. Those settings gave me the sharpest and the least amount of noise for the image I desired. Your settings may vary. Anyway I am pleased with the performance of this lens indoors.
