Price difference

Hi,

Without stating the obvious of wide angle advantage, is it really worth all the extra cost to buy an 18-250 when the much cheaper 28-300 are available? Am I missing something?

Thanks

No you're not missing anything. It's just that it's harder to make a proper 18mm wideangle, than a proper 28mm wideangle.

If you need anything wider than 28, you can always pick up something like the Sigma 17-35 or 15-30 or the FAJ 18-35. With just 2 lenses, you could have potentially have 15-300 covered.

Or you could get something like a Raynox .66x wide angle adaptor and convert the 28-300 to an 18-250.
