recently got into stitching using Microsoft ICE......5 to7 vertical shots 135-200mm have gone together for ok panos for me but still learning.... I recently (received in mail today) got the bower 14/2.8 for chasing the milky way and other night time shots mostly.......let the disease consume you and get another lens!!!

My wide angle needs are covered by Sigma 18-35 F1.8 and DA* 16-50. For me Sigma easily replaces every single prime in that range, and if I need to go wider, I opt for 16-50. Although I should say that I am not impressed with the corner / edge performance of the later.
