Phoenix 650-1300 lens

I say a post for this and was wondering just how bad of a lens this is?
I know that most people don't like the Phoenix lens's but this is a cheap price and will it give moderate pictures? Phoenix 650-1300mm f/8-16 Telephoto Lens with Mount for Pentax K10D K100D K110D *ist D DL DS Digital & Film SLR Cameras: Camera & Photo

my friend has one, and its one bigarsed lens. you have to hold it like a rifle just to shoot with it handheld. as far as photo quality goes, its not too bad Fuzzy Pax by *TheYawningHorse on deviantART theres an example for you to go by. you can be the judge of the quality, thogh i think he post processed this one a bit.

I have the Phoenix 100-400 F4.5-F6.7 AF lens.. its not as bad as what people have said it is. The images are fairly sharp although it is a bit slow in focusing.. A friend bought it for me.

I would imagine your lens listed would be at least a average performer.

considering what it would cost for "big" glass, the price is right for Pentax.

Don't know about the quality (or lack thereof). But you gotta love Pheonix just for the sake of putting such an extreme lens on the market.

its really dim and pics are washed out and the aperture is fixed. There is no aperture ring. Some people have said that there is a bit of wobble on the lens.

If I had that kinda money and was looking for the reach, I might try the Phoenix 500mm f8 (not the mirror one). It's got the aperture ring and way fewer lens elements.
