where have all these gold plated lenses been hiding? Ive seen a number of pentax lenses and camera and now a Vivitar? though to be honest from the photo it looks more like brass. either way its ugly as sin. they should have plated it in titanium. I don't speak German but the etching on the barrel lends itself to being some sort of commemorative piece.

He recently sold a 28-105mm golden vivitar. I was bidding on it, but some German sniper outbid me only for 1EUR.

I was just in Miami Beach and Boca Raton last week - the changes in the last 25 years are:

Ferraris replaced by Bentleys
$1,500,000 estates replaced by $15,000,000 condos
Gold as apparel accessory replaced by Gold as investment accessory
