I assume he means there is an updated version of the REVIEW coming, not that there is an updated version of the lens!

Although a DC motor, HD-coated DFA 100 WR would be awesome!

yep that plus with at least a focus limiter.. and if possible to add either some wr extension tubes to the portfolio or make it with an WR aperture ring

Pretty sure I'm going to buy this one now, AF will not be used that much. Sharp, great colours, F2.8, 1:1 macro, price is right and satisfied pentaxians, can't go wrong really. Thanks everyone for your advice and opinions, looking forward using this lens.

To get in the prime mood I made a little walk with my somewhat neglected "Asahi Pentax SMC M 50 mm F1.7" this evening, found out that I'm still in love with her. Will post some photo's of our reunion tomorrow.

Yes, I was referring to the review.

Hd coatings would be nice, but the lens is already excellent as it is. DC would be, simply, awesome.

That could be nice, but I'm not a fan of the idea. first, quick-shift does almost the same thing. Second, it would cripple the beautiful design of this jewel

Yes, a version with limiter and DC motor would be something I'd buy. Then I'd have to part with my FA100 2.8 which would be tough...
